At the end of the last year (2018) our Team Codezillas successfully released a game in a Dialog games store. This game gave a lot of experience to us and here I am going to say why we chose that game and outline of that game. This is my 16th article in Medium.

“Good spellers are usually good readers and good speakers”. Therefore we wanted to create a mobile gaming application. When we started, first we chose Android studio to develop our mobile game and our first target is also Android users. We developed some prototypes and showed some users but the users are not satisfied with the user interface because in Android studio we can’t create interactive user interfaces for games. Therefore we chose Unity 3D to develop that game with an interactive interface.

We got some information from the Sri Lankan examination department and got to know that in every year among 10% of Sinhala students and among 15% of Tamil students got a fail grade in their mother language subjects in G.C.E ordinary level examination. Among 50% of students got failed in English in G.C.E ordinary level examination. Therefore we targeted the 3-year-old children to 15-year-old students. This is a big range of users, so we have many responsibilities to increase the pass percentages.

If we are studying a new language we should remember words and grammar. There are six ways to remember a language. They are, using Mnemonics, using Flash Cards, Recitation, Visual note taking, Written and hearing Audio. If we are new for a language we are confusing with some letters such as in English “b”, “d”, “p” are confusing for the new learners.

The first step of our progress is for getting interaction with letters. If a user clears all level in learning letter then he can go to the step in learning words or he can directly go to the step in learning words. Every step are independent so users can choose any step he wants. Our steps are learning letters, learning words, learning words, learning grammar, learning brevity and getting clarity. We will extend the idea to a foreign language and include natural language processing.
